Recently, Facebook took a step against all terrorist-related and provoking content which is surely praised worthy. Facebook has announced that it has deleted almost 1.9 million pieces of ISIS and al-Qaeda related content in 2018 up till now.

This is twice as much as it was in the last quarter of 2017. The most notable fact is that Facebook removed 99% of this content through its automated tools. By removing the matter through automated tools instead of user reports, Facebook has shown its efficiency.
Facebook has released an official statement in which it has revealed that Facebook discourages everything related to politics and extremism. One of the senior officials at Facebook has claimed that Facebook is against violent and extreme content rather than the goals of a political party. Facebook has formed a counter-terrorism team comprising of 200 employees which are working tirelessly to remove such content. So, whenever you think that you can’t see a violent post, remember the counter-terrorism team.

Moreover, officials have also said that Facebook will verify the identity and location of all the people who run violent content. Facebook has made this attempt after being accused of selling user data. So, Facebook has started this campaign as a compensating act.
