Recently, WhatsApp announced that it has started taking some severe measures. After reviewing its security policies, WhatsApp has decided to put a ban on users who are younger than 16 years.

According to sources, the changes will be made in the month of May. Currently, 13 years old are allowed to use the application. However, after the changes in the policies, the minimum age is set to be increased. So, this means that all users who are aged below 16 will not be allowed to use the platform for communication. However, WhatsApp officials have also added that the company is not seeking to get personal user data by the new policies.

A top company official has said that the only aim behind this activity is to limit the user data and to make WhatsApp a safe place for communication. WhatsApp is not the only application that is making changes to its terms and service regulations. All of these changes are being made in line with the new policies given by the government. The most significant feature of these policies is that it provides users with the opportunity to limit their data as well as to erase it completely.
